Eleven players are now in the Super Falcons’ camp as preparations intensify for Friday’s 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Benin Republic in Lomé, Togo.
The team began training on Monday, with nine players, Asisat Oshoala, Folashade Ijamilusi, Taiwo Afolabi, Miracle Usani, Joy Omewa, Anderline Mgbechi, Blessing Illivieda, and Kafayat Mafisere, participating in the first session.
Goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie and midfielder Christy Ucheibe later joined the squad at their Hotel Sarakawa base on Monday night.
More players are expected to arrive before today’s 3 p.m. training session.
The first leg holds at the Stade de Kégué, Lomé, on Friday, while the return leg is scheduled for the Moshood Abiola Sports Arena, Abeokuta, next Tuesday.
