Former Chelsea and West Ham manager Graham Potter has been appointed as head coach of the Swedish national team following the sacking of Jon Dahl Tomasson.
Tomasson was dismissed after Sweden’s 0-1 home loss to Kosovo in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Reacting to his appointment, Potter said he was “honoured and inspired” by the opportunity, adding that his goal is to lead Sweden to next summer’s World Cup.
Potter previously coached in Sweden during a successful spell with Östersunds FK, where he gained international recognition.
