The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has suffered another setback as its National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, alleged that his signature was forged on a letter to INEC regarding the party’s upcoming convention.
Anyanwu petitioned the DSS, Police, and INEC, accusing top party officials of criminal forgery and suggesting possible collusion with INEC staff.
The disputed letter, dated August 25, 2025, reportedly informed INEC of the planned convention slated for November 15-16 in Ibadan.
The incident has deepened existing divisions within the PDP’s National Working Committee, with lawsuits already filed challenging the legitimacy of the convention.
