Over 100 members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Kuje Area Council have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), ahead of the February 21, 2026, FCT council elections.
APC chairmanship candidate Danjuma Samuel Shekwolo received the 104 defectors, including Surajo Suman, Special Adviser on Nomadic Affairs to the Kuje Council chairman, at a weekend ceremony in Kayarda-Kasa.
Shekwolo welcomed them into the party, assuring equal treatment and urging more PDP members to join the APC.
Speaking for the defectors, Suman said they left the PDP due to poor leadership and lack of direction in the council.
