The Convener of the League for Good Governance, Isaiah Ijele, has urged President Bola Tinubu to allow the Department of State Services (DSS), to investigate the alleged National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), certificate forgery involving the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
Speaking on Arise Television, Ijele said the matter should be treated with the same seriousness as past certificate scandals that led to the resignation of former ministers.
He noted that Tunji-Ojo’s case must not be exempted because of his influence or performance in government.
“The credibility of this administration will depend on how it handles Tunji-Ojo’s case,” Ijele warned, adding that blocking a DSS investigation would cast doubt on the government’s commitment to transparency and the rule of law.
