Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has congratulated Al’amin Muhammed Idris, CEO of Interface Africa, for winning the 2025 NextGen Innovation Challenge in London.
Al’amin, an indigene of Kaduna State, beat over 3,000 participants worldwide with Interface Africa, a clean-energy platform connecting solar providers, financiers, and end-users to expand access to renewable power across Africa.
The innovation earned a £1.5 million investment from UK-based Pure Climate Solutions to scale operations continent-wide.
Governor Sani described Al’amin’s victory as “a monumental achievement and a source of pride for Kaduna and Nigeria,” adding that it highlights the creative strength of the state’s youth and his administration’s push for a technology-driven economy.
He also commended another Kaduna innovator, Shamsuddeen Jibril, whose AgroDrone Crop Doctor impressed judges at the same event.
Organisers said the challenge recognises transformative African innovations tackling clean energy, agriculture, and technology development.
