The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested two dismissed officers, Barry Donald and Victor Onyedikachi Godwin, for impersonation and fraud.
In a statement on Wednesday, the DSS said the former operatives, earlier declared wanted, were caught posing as active officers to defraud unsuspecting Nigerians.
The Service said both men had been dismissed for misconduct and would be prosecuted, adding that it plans to publish names of other dismissed personnel to prevent further impersonation.
The DSS urged citizens to verify any dealings with its officials through official channels and report suspicious activities to security authorities.
