Former presidential candidate and #RevolutionNow Convener, Omoyele Sowore, has mourned the death of veteran activist and Joint Action Front Secretary, Abiodun Aremu.

Aremu reportedly died on Sunday evening after being knocked down by a vehicle near his residence in Ota, Ogun State. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but was later confirmed dead.

In a Facebook post, Sowore described Aremu as a “revolutionary senior comrade and mentor,” praising his lifelong commitment to social justice and liberation struggles in Africa.

“May his soul rest in power, and may his legacy continue to inspire the struggle for a freer, fairer, and just world,” Sowore said.
