A heated altercation between two sisters caused a scene at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Sunday after they missed their United Airlines flight due to late arrival.
Eyewitnesses said the disagreement over who was to blame quickly turned physical, prompting intervention by Aviation Security officers.
The sisters were taken to the airport’s interrogation office, where the fight reportedly resumed, leaving one of them unconscious.
She was later taken to the FAAN clinic for treatment, while the other insisted the incident was “spiritual.”
Confirming the development, NCAA spokesperson Michael Achimugu described the conduct as “highly inappropriate,” urging travelers to comply with regulations requiring passengers to arrive at least two hours before departure.
