Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has appointed Hon. Benibo Anabraba as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
The appointment was announced in a statement by Dr. Honour Sirawoo, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Communications, who said the swearing-in will take place today, Monday, October 13, 2025, at 4 p.m. in Government House, Port Harcourt.
The move comes as part of Governor Fubara’s efforts to reorganize his administration following his reinstatement after months of political crisis and the lifting of the state of emergency in September.
Anabraba’s appointment signals the beginning of a broader realignment in Fubara’s cabinet as governance activities resume fully in Rivers State.
