The Pastor-in-Charge of Summit Bible Church, Abuja, Pastor Dan Anorue, has expressed optimism that Nigeria will overcome its current socio-economic challenges, assuring citizens that brighter days are ahead.
Speaking at the church’s 20th anniversary and thanksgiving service on Sunday, Pastor Anorue said God is working behind the scenes to bring about national renewal and prosperity.
Quoting Romans 8:28, he reminded Christians that “all things work together for good to those who love God,” urging Nigerians not to lose faith in difficult times.
“If you don’t understand what God is doing, you may feel lost, but God is in it,” he said. “He knows, He understands, and He is working all things out for the good of His people.”
Describing the present moment as a turning point for both the nation and the church, Anorue declared, “This is a new season for us. The Bible says the gates of hell will not prevail against the church. It will end in praise because God has already seen the end.”
He also called on Christians to rise above challenges and live as light-bearers in society, saying, “This is our finest moment. It is time to arise and shine. More than ever, we must rely on the leading of the Holy Spirit.”
Chairman of the 20th Anniversary Planning Committee, Mr. Kingsley Akwudolu, said the anniversary theme, “Divine Orchestration,” reflects the church’s journey of faith and resilience since its founding in 2005.
Pioneer member Mrs. Odi Lagi expressed joy over the church’s growth, saying, “It gives me so much joy to know we have raised generations of believers who are out there making positive changes and saving souls.”
The event, attended by members and friends from within and outside Abuja, featured testimonies, praise sessions, and thanksgiving in celebration of two decades of God’s faithfulness.
