Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, and Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, have renewed efforts to expedite completion of the Abuja-Jere-Kaduna section of the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano Expressway.
At a meeting in Abuja, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to resolving challenges delaying the strategic road project.
Governor Sani described the expressway as a “national artery” vital for trade, connectivity, and economic growth, pledging Kaduna State’s support to clear all bottlenecks.
Umahi commended Sani’s collaboration and assured that contractors have been directed to operate double shifts to speed up work.
He noted that reinforced concrete pavement is being adopted for durability and sustainability.
The meeting forms part of Governor Sani’s wider consultations with federal stakeholders to accelerate key infrastructure projects in Kaduna State.
