Former Deputy Governors Forum Opens Permanent Secretariat in Abuja

The Forum of Former Deputy Governors of Nigeria (FFDGN), has inaugurated its new permanent secretariat in Abuja to enhance unity, leadership mentorship, and policy advocacy.

Located in the heart of the Federal Capital Territory, the multi-purpose complex will serve as the forum’s administrative hub and also house the Polish-Nigerian Business Council to promote investment collaboration.

FFDGN Chairman, Dr. Chris Akomas, described the project as “a dream fulfilled” and “a symbol of unity connecting past leadership experiences to the promise of a better Nigeria.”

Special Guest, Senator Aliyu Wamakko, hailed the secretariat as a reflection of progress and renewed commitment to nation-building, while Dame Pauline Tallen said it marked “a turning point” for the forum’s operations.

The building features committee rooms, a boardroom, a 40-seater conference hall, and a showroom.

The event was attended by government officials, lawmakers, diplomats, and several former deputy governors.
