The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has dismissed speculations of possible defections by some of its governors, insisting it remains united and focused ahead of the November Anambra governorship election.

Speaking at a pre-convention briefing in Abuja on Thursday, the National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, said the party is confident its candidate, Sir Jude Ezenwafor, will win the election.

Ologunagba described the PDP as the only truly democratic party in Nigeria, built on strong foundations of people-oriented policies and principles.

He noted that despite past defections of top members, the party had always emerged stronger.

“The PDP remains. Our strength lies in the people and our enduring values,” he said.

Ezenwafor, who survived an assassination attempt, reaffirmed his commitment to the PDP and readiness for the poll, expressing gratitude to the party leadership for their support.
