Air Peace Airlines will begin direct flights from Abuja to London’s Heathrow and Gatwick airports on October 26, 2025, expanding its international operations beyond the Lagos-London route.
The airline said the new service will enhance travel options for Nigerians and offer return tickets from ₦1 million-significantly lower than fares by foreign carriers.
The routes will be operated with its recently acquired Boeing 777-200ER aircraft.
Air Peace Chairman/CEO, Chief Allen Onyema, credited the expansion to the support of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, the British government, and Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo for securing Heathrow slots.
Onyema also revealed plans to launch direct flights from Lagos to São Paulo, Brazil, and Antigua and Barbuda soon.
Industry experts hailed the move as a milestone for Nigerian aviation, boosting competition, lowering fares, and showcasing Air Peace as a growing global player.
