Sterling Bank Limited has condemned what it described as an “unlawful protest” at its Abuja branch, reaffirming its commitment to due process and judicial authority.

In a statement on Thursday, the bank said the protest, staged on October 8, 2025, by associates of a debtor posing as civil society groups, was an attempt to mislead the public and defy a Federal High Court order restraining Miden Systems and its affiliates from further action in an ongoing legal dispute.

The bank’s Chief Security Officer, Michael Boniface, described the incident as “reckless and contemptuous,” adding that it would be reported to law enforcement for investigation and prosecution.

He confirmed that security operatives swiftly restored order and normal operations resumed immediately, with no harm to staff, customers, or property.
