Former presidential candidate Peter Obi has disowned online advertisements and endorsements using his name and image without authorization, describing them as fraudulent and misleading.
In a post on his verified X account on Thursday, Obi said he has never permitted any individual or business to use his identity for commercial purposes, urging Nigerians to disregard such claims.
He cautioned the public to rely only on verified channels for information about his activities, noting that impersonators continue to exploit his image to deceive unsuspecting people.
The warning follows recent online scams falsely linking Obi to a promotional campaign for a platform called AfriQuantumX, which fact-checkers have since debunked.
