The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, has hailed the Gateway International Airport in Ogun State as one of the best in Nigeria.

Dangiwa gave the commendation after arriving on a ValueJet flight from Abuja, one of the first commercial flights to the new facility.

He praised Governor Dapo Abiodun for delivering what he described as a “world-class project” within a short time.

“This terminal building is one of the best in the country, well constructed, functional, and well maintained,” he said, urging sustained maintenance to preserve the airport’s quality.

Also, the National President of ACOMORAN, Alhaji Samsudeen Apelogun, who was on the same flight, lauded the airport’s infrastructure and called for its use in Hajj operations, noting its 4km runway and international-standard facilities.

He said the airport would boost Ogun’s economy, create jobs, and ease travel stress for frequent flyers.
