The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested 12 suspects in connection with the killing of ARISE News anchor, Somtochukwu Christella Maduagwu, and a security guard, Barnabas Danlami, during a robbery at Unique Apartments, Gishiri, Katampe District, Abuja.
Police said weapons and mobile phones were recovered from the suspects.
Maduagwu, a 29-year-old lawyer and broadcaster, was killed during a break-in at her residence on September 29, 2025, sparking widespread outrage and calls for justice.
ARISE TV described her as a valued team member and urged security agencies to ensure swift prosecution of those responsible.
