Defender Benjamin Fredrick has joined the Super Eagles camp in Polokwane, South Africa, ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin Republic.
His arrival brings the number of players in camp to 18, according to team media officer Promise Efoghe.
Others already in camp include captain William Troost-Ekong, Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, Moses Simon, and Samuel Chukwueze, among others.
The team held its first training session on Tuesday evening. Nigeria will face Lesotho on Friday, October 10, before hosting Benin Republic on Tuesday, October 14, in Uyo.
With two games left, the Super Eagles sit third in Group C with 11 points, three behind leaders Benin Republic and second-placed South Africa.
