The All Progressives Congress (APC), in Zamfara State has vowed to reclaim power from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the 2027 general elections.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the party urged members to remain steadfast and united, noting that internal reorganisation and grassroots mobilisation were already underway to secure victory.

The APC leadership directed members to safeguard their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), describing them as the “only weapon” to take back the state.

It also called for massive voter turnout, stressing that unity and discipline would be crucial in defeating the PDP.

Supporters across local governments were further tasked with strengthening party structures in preparation for the polls.

Zamfara has remained a political battleground, with power swinging between the two major parties in recent years.

The PDP, led by Governor Dauda Lawal, currently controls the state, but APC leaders expressed confidence that a united front would return them to power in 2027.

Political analysts, however, caution that APC must first reconcile internal divisions and manage defections if it is to realize its ambition.
