Chairman of the FCT Golf Association, Akabom Enebong, has commended the developers of Golf View Estate in Abuja for incorporating modern sports facilities into the residential project, describing it as a model for urban living.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony along Airport Road, Enebong highlighted the estate’s natural putting range and 5D indoor golf simulator, which he said would make the sport accessible to residents all year.

He stressed that such initiatives not only promote healthy lifestyles but also widen sports participation across the Federal Capital Territory.

Enebong urged real estate developers in Abuja to follow this example by including recreational facilities in new housing projects, cautioning that the FCT Administration may, in the future, sanction developers who fail to comply.

According to him, estates without provisions for recreation weaken efforts to nurture the city’s sporting culture.

He further disclosed that the Golf Association is already implementing grassroots programmes and building partnerships to establish golf academies in schools, aimed at grooming future talents while fostering community development.

Describing Golf View Estate as a benchmark for future projects, Enebong said the combination of housing and sports infrastructure would create healthier, more vibrant communities in the capital.
