Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate Peter Obi met in Abuja on Monday at a Night of Tributes and Service of Songs for the late former Minister of Agriculture, Chief Audu Ogbeh.

The event, held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, drew political heavyweights and admirers of the elder statesman.

In a post on X, Atiku hailed Ogbeh as “a patriot and a brilliant mind whose role in Nigeria’s democratic journey and public service left indelible marks.”

The meeting has renewed speculation about the duo’s 2027 ambitions, with reports suggesting both may seek the presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Atiku and Obi last contested together on the PDP platform in 2019, securing over 11.2 million votes but losing to then-President Muhammadu Buhari of the APC.
