The Peoples Democratic Party has unveiled the full list of members appointed to serve on its different sub-committees for the 2025 Elective National Convention, which has been fixed for Saturday, November 15 and Sunday, November 16, in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The disclosure came on Monday through an update shared on the party’s official handle on X. According to the statement, the National Convention Organizing Committee, acting on behalf of the National Executive Committee of the party, formally presented the approved membership of the various sub-committees responsible for conducting the convention. The party emphasised that the gathering in Ibadan is designed for the election of new national officers.
The document containing the names bore the signature of the Chairman of the NCOC and Governor of Adamawa State, Umaru Fintiri. In total, the publication covered over 100 individuals spread across different categories, ranging from accreditation and security to electoral management.
Prominent political leaders, including serving governors, senators, and party elders, were placed at the helm of the committees. For instance, the Accommodation Committee will be chaired by Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, with Dr. Ibrahim Dankwambo as deputy chairman and Alhaji Gamboa Gade as secretary.
In addition, the Accreditation Committee will be led by Governor Dauda Lawal, supported by Ashamu Abantekewei as deputy and Umar Bature as secretary. The Contact and Mobilisation Committee is to be directed by Governor Douye Diri as chairman, with Senator Abba Moro as deputy and Emmanuel Ekpe serving as secretary.
The Constitutional Amendment Committee will be presided over by former Akwa Ibom State Governor Udom Emmanuel, with Barrister Mark Jacob as deputy chairman and Adeyemi Ajibade, SAN, as secretary.
