The National Leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), and its 2023 presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, on Tuesday met with party stakeholders in Calabar, Cross River State, to strategize ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking at the meeting, Kwankwaso stressed the importance of unity and grassroots mobilisation, urging members to strengthen the party’s presence across the state.

“I thank all the leaders and members of NNPP in Cross River State for receiving us warmly. We are pleased with the leadership here, but I encourage you to work hard to ensure unity within the party,” he said.

He praised members for their efforts during the 2023 elections but challenged them to redouble their commitment to secure victories in 2027.

“By the grace of God, our party, the NNPP, will win elections in Cross River and across Nigeria.

“Ensure unity, especially now that we have a new big office in Calabar and many local government areas across the state,” he added.

The State Chairman of NNPP, Barr. Tony Odey, described Kwankwaso’s visit as a morale booster, noting that it provided an opportunity for stakeholders from diverse backgrounds to “share ideas and chart a new course for collective progress.”

He also commended the party’s Contact Committee, led by Alhaji Ahmed Bitchi, for providing a state office and an official vehicle, saying the gesture had made the NNPP “the envy of other political parties in the state.”

Odey revealed that beyond the new Calabar secretariat, the party had secured offices in five local government areas of the Northern Senatorial Zone, with plans to brand them in party colours.

In a vote of thanks, the State Publicity Secretary, Odey Nyambi, assured stakeholders that the NNPP was fully prepared to win Cross River in 2027, noting that Kwankwaso’s engagement had further energized party supporters.
