The Centre for Leadership Training (CLT) has cautioned Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan against resuming her seat at the Senate before the Court of Appeal rules on her case.
CLT President, Chief Azuka Francis, described her planned return as “premature and inconsistent” with Senate protocol, noting that her six-month suspension from March 6 remains under judicial review.
This follows a September 4 letter from the Acting Clerk to the National Assembly, Dr. Yahaya Danzaria, which advised that no action be taken until the court delivers judgment.
While the PDP and rights lawyer Inibehe Effiong accused Senate leaders of silencing Kogi Central’s representation, CLT insisted that due process and judicial independence must prevail.
