Egyptian Man Dies After Collapse in Abuja Hotel, Police Investigate

The police have opened an investigation into the death of a 56-year-old Egyptian national, Mohammed Saleh, who collapsed during dinner at the Abuja Intercontinental Hotel, Wuse Zone 4, on Friday night.

Witnesses said Saleh was dining with three companions when he suddenly slumped.

The hotel’s Security Supervisor, Francis Yusuf, promptly reported the incident to the Wuse Division Police at about 9:24 p.m.

He was rushed to Kings Care Hospital in Wuse Zone 4 and later referred to Wuse District Hospital, where a doctor on duty confirmed him dead.

His body has since been deposited at the hospital morgue for autopsy.

Police authorities said investigations are ongoing, while the official cause of death is yet to be determined.
