Iyamoye community has been thrown into mourning following the passing of Alhaji Dr. Ganiyu Obatoyinbo, the Aremo of Iyamoye Kingdom, described as a beloved leader, mentor, and community developer.
In a statement signed by the National Secretary General of the Iyamoye Development Union, Mr. Olorunmaiye Joel, the late Obatoyinbo was praised for his humility, wisdom, philanthropy, and unwavering commitment to the growth of the community.
“His sudden departure leaves a profound silence, but his legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire us.
“He was a pillar of our union and our community, providing support, financing, and impactful giving that touched countless lives,” the statement read.
The union expressed condolences to his immediate and extended family, as well as the wider Iyamoye community, while praying for Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest.
“A pillar has indeed fallen,” the statement concluded, capturing the depth of loss felt across the community.
