The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has resumed payment of arrears to corps members after a two-month pause.
The arrears, covering July 2024 to March 2025 under the new ₦77,000 monthly allowance, were last disbursed on June 3 before payments restarted on September 3.
Beneficiaries include the 2024 Batch A Stream 2 and recently discharged members. NYSC DG, Brig.-Gen. Olakunle Nafiu, had earlier assured that payments would resume once funds were available.
Corps members have welcomed the development, describing it as timely relief amid economic challenges.
