The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has announced the relocation of its headquarters to a permanent site in Abuja, effective Friday, September 5, 2025.
In a statement signed by its Director of Strategic Communications, Mrs. Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, the new office is located at House 12, Plot 103/104, Monrovia Street, Wuse 2, opposite Bon Hotel, Federal Capital Territory.
Oluwatuyi assured stakeholders that the relocation would not disrupt operations, stressing that all services remain active and accessible.
She described the move as part of NELFUND’s efforts to strengthen service delivery and improve stakeholder engagement.
“NELFUND remains fully committed to providing access to affordable education loans for Nigerian students. The relocation to our permanent office is part of our effort to enhance accessibility to our services,” she said.
The Fund, however, raised concerns that delays in student loan disbursement persist due to slow verification responses from tertiary institutions. It urged universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education to prioritise the process so that more students can benefit from the scheme.
While reassuring the public that its official communication channels remain unchanged, the Fund urged Nigerians to direct correspondence, visits, and inquiries to the new address.
Established in 2023 by the Federal Government under President Bola Tinubu, NELFUND was created to manage Nigeria’s interest-free student loan scheme and ensure that no student is denied higher education due to financial constraints.
The Abuja permanent headquarters is expected to serve as the central hub for operations, coordination, and communication with both institutions and beneficiaries nationwide.
