A Bolt driver was murdered on Tuesday night by suspected armed robbers who also made away with his vehicle along the Gwarimpa-Kubwa expressway.
The victim, a resident of Kagini community near the expressway, was reportedly stabbed in the neck and left critically injured.
He was rushed to Kubwa General Hospital by a security patrol team but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival due to excessive blood loss, despite efforts by medical staff to resuscitate him through a blood transfusion.
Family sources said the deceased, originally from Okene in Kogi State, was buried the following day in line with Islamic rites after his relatives recovered his body.
A police source confirmed the incident, while the FCT Bolt Drivers’ Association expressed deep concern over the increasing spate of violent attacks against drivers in the capital city.
