GITEX Nigeria 2025 Launches in Abuja Under Presidential Patronage

The inaugural edition of GITEX Nigeria 2025 officially kicked off today in Abuja with the Government Leadership & AI Summit, marking the country’s entry onto the global GITEX stage. Inaugurated under the patronage of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, the summit brings together over 500 government officials and 40 international speakers, uniting policymakers and tech leaders to chart Nigeria’s digital future.

Held at the Abuja Continental Hotel, the summit’s agenda includes themes key to Nigeria’s digital aspirations AI infrastructure, digital governance, public sector innovation, and strategies for scaling infrastructure investments across the country.

This landmark event marks the beginning of a four-day mega tech and startup showcase. From September 3–4, GITEX Nigeria transitions to Lagos, hosting the Tech Expo & Future Economy Conference at the Eko Hotel Convention Centre and the Startup Festival at the Landmark Centre. Together, these gatherings are set to position GITEX Nigeria as the continent’s largest tech and startup platform.
