Bananas are berries, but strawberries are not!
In botanical science, a berry is a simple fruit that develops from one flower ovary and usually contains multiple seeds inside a fleshy body. Bananas fit this description perfectly, which makes them true berries. Surprisingly, strawberries grow from a flower with multiple ovaries, making them an “aggregate fruit,” not a real berry. So, every time you eat a banana, you’re technically eating a berry — but not when you snack on strawberries!

SCIENCE & PHYSICS
Water can boil and freeze at the same time (Triple Point).
This strange event happens when water is under a very specific combination of temperature and pressure. At this “triple point,” water molecules exist simultaneously as solid (ice), liquid (water), and gas (vapor). Scientists use this phenomenon in laboratories to calibrate thermometers and study phase changes. Imagine a pot of water bubbling with steam while ice crystals form at the same moment — science magic

FOOD $ NATURE
Honey never spoils.
Archaeologists have discovered pots of honey in ancient Egyptian tombs that are over 3,000 years old — and still perfectly edible. Honey’s low water content and natural acidity make it resistant to bacteria and spoilage.

FOOD & NATURE
Wombat poop is cube-shaped.
Native to Australia, wombats produce cube-like droppings. This unusual shape helps prevent the poop from rolling away, allowing wombats to use it to mark territory.

SPACE $ ASTRONOMY
Space smells like seared steak.
Astronauts have reported that the smell lingering on their spacesuits after a spacewalk is similar to seared steak or burnt metal. This is caused by high-energy vibrations of atoms in space clinging to their suits.
