The Kaduna State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has disowned a statement credited to its State Publicity Secretary regarding the reported inauguration of former Governor Nasir El-Rufai.
In a press release signed by the State Secretary, Victor Oluwatuyi, the party clarified that the earlier publication represented only the personal opinion of the officer and did not reflect the official stance of either the State Working Committee or the State Executive Committee.
The statement noted that the ADC leadership had neither discussed nor authorised any position describing El-Rufai’s inauguration as “fraudulent.”
Oluwatuyi explained that both he and the State Organising Secretary were present at the event, while the State Chairman had also signified his intention to attend, a development he said clearly showed that the party leadership’s position was contrary to the views earlier expressed.
“The general public is therefore advised to disregard the said publication.
“The ADC State Leadership remains committed to strengthening unity among our coalition partners and working diligently for the progress of our party and the overall development of Kaduna State,” the statement read.
