Nigeria’s healthcare sector is set for a landmark transformation as world-class leaders, former Heads of State, top government officials, and global experts converge in Abuja on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, for the commissioning of the Care365 Health Hub.
The unveiling, scheduled to hold at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, will be spearheaded by former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd.), who serves as Chief Host and Chairman of Care365 Health Hub.
Abdulsalami, a key driver of the initiative, described the project as a turning point for accessible and technology-driven healthcare in Nigeria.
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo will chair the occasion, while the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, will formally commission the hub. Former President Goodluck Jonathan will serve as Guest of Honour.
Among the other dignitaries expected are the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, state governors, cabinet ministers, senior government officials, leaders of the private sector, and representatives of the international community.
Speaking ahead of the launch, the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Care365, Ngozi Joseph Odumuko, explained that the innovation was conceived in the United States but adapted to meet Nigeria’s most pressing healthcare challenges.
She noted that the hub introduces a suite of pioneering solutions designed to expand access to quality healthcare and close the gap for underserved communities.
According to Odumuko, the Care365 Health Monitoring Kiosk will allow individuals to conduct instant checks of vital signs such as blood pressure, blood sugar, body mass index, and oxygen levels.
Complementing this is the Care365 Mobile Clinic, a flexible unit designed to deliver services to remote and underserved areas.
The Care365 Telemedicine Mobile and Web App will further enhance access by enabling virtual consultations with doctors, e-prescriptions, referrals, and secure health record management.
In addition, a Specialist Doctors Pool made up of highly skilled physicians from the United States, Europe, Canada, Asia, and Nigeria will provide patients with global-standard expertise.
She emphasized that the Care365 Health Hub was created to bridge technology and healthcare delivery, ensuring Nigerians, especially those in rural and low-income areas can receive timely, affordable, and specialist-driven medical care.
With participation expected from stakeholders across oil and gas, telecommunications, insurance, banking, and other critical sectors, as well as international partners, the Abuja launch is widely regarded as the beginning of a new era in Nigeria’s healthcare landscape.
