The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed that the Super Falcons will face Benin Republic’s She-Cheetahs in the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifiers. The two-legged clash will hold between October 20 and 28, 2025.

Benin will host the first leg, while Nigeria takes charge of the return fixture. The aggregate winner will secure a place at the tournament in Morocco, slated for March 2026.

The top four teams at WAFCON 2026 will automatically qualify for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil, while two additional African sides can reach the mundial via a FIFA inter-confederation play-off.

The Super Falcons, coached by Justine Madugu, are aiming to defend their title and clinch another World Cup ticket.

Their opponents, Benin Republic, defeated Sierra Leone 5-2 on aggregate in the last round and will be seeking to upset the nine-time African champions.
