President Tinubu Returns to Abuja After Japan, Brazil Tour

President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja after a 14-day diplomatic tour of Japan and Brazil.

His plane landed at Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport at 1:20 a.m. on Thursday, where he was received by senior officials, including National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Nigeria Governors’ Forum Chairman AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and several ministers and special advisers.

Tinubu’s tour began with a stopover in Dubai, UAE, before attending the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9), in Yokohama, Japan, from August 20-22.

In Japan, he held bilateral meetings and engaged with CEOs of Japanese firms with investments in Nigeria.

He later visited Brasilia, Brazil, at the invitation of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva for a state visit.
