Residents of Keffi Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, have appealed to the Federal Government to establish a train service linking the town to Abuja.

They argued that such a service, modeled after the Abuja-Kaduna rail line, would ease pressure on the busy Abuja-Keffi highway, reduce gridlock, and provide safer travel for commuters.

Many residents noted that with thousands of civil servants living in border communities, a train service would cut travel time, improve security, and boost productivity.

“If the train service is created, it will reduce the suffering people endure daily on this highway,” one commuter said. “With a train, there is more security. We really need it here and hope government will take action.”
