Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, is doubtful for Nigeria’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa after sustaining an injury.

The Chippa United shot-stopper was stretchered off in the 35th minute of his side’s South African Premier Soccer League clash with Richards Bay on Tuesday night.

Nwabali now faces a race against time to be fit for the crucial fixtures. Other goalkeepers available in the squad include Adebayo Adeleye, Amas Obasogie, and Ebenezer Harcourt.

Nigeria will host Rwanda on September 6 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, before traveling to face South Africa on September 9.
