The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), will on September 2 in Abuja honour the league’s standout performers of the 2024/25 season top scorer Yusuf Anas and Remo Stars coach Daniel Ogunmodede.
The award ceremony, originally delayed due to their involvement with the CHAN Eagles, is part of the NPFL’s drive to reward excellence and inspire greater performance in the league.
NPFL Chairman, Gbenga Elegbeleye, said the recognition reflects the league’s policy of celebrating exceptional contributions.
“We have always encouraged players, coaches, and teams to elevate the quality of our football through outstanding performances.
“We consistently reward our best clubs, as well as the highest goal scorers and best-performing coaches, in conjunction with our investment partner, GTI Assets Management,” he stated.
Anas, of Nasarawa United, finished as the 2024/25 NPFL top scorer with 17 goals, while Ogunmodede made history by guiding Remo Stars to their first-ever league title since the club’s founding.
Each award recipient will receive a cash prize of N1.5 million along with a commemorative plaque, according to the NPFL chairman.
