Otti Approves 17 Appointments to Strengthen Governance in Abia

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has approved 17 new appointments across key state institutions and offices in a bid to enhance governance and service delivery.

A statement on Monday by the Secretary to the State Government, Kenneth Kalu, said the appointments take immediate effect.

Those appointed include Uche Mark Nwosu as Chief Protocol Officer, with Ikechukwu Nwankwo as Deputy Chief Protocol Officer, and Adaeze Ivy Iroegbu as Chief Moderator.

Others in the Protocol Department are Emmanuel Paul Irechi, Amarachi Inyama and Augustine Chukwuebuka as Protocol Officers.

At the Abia State College of Education (Technical), Arochukwu, Dr. Joe Emeson was named Chairman of the Governing Council, while Dr. (Mrs.) Idowu O. Eluwa becomes Provost.

Iheanyi Frank Chinasa was appointed Chief Liaison Officer/National Assembly Liaison Officer at the Abia Liaison Office, Abuja.

The Governor also approved Emmanuel M. Ufomba as Chairman of the Abia State Transport Corporation, alongside Godanswer P. Kalu, Mrs. Salomey Onwu, Kingsley Oriaku and Onyebuchi Nna as members.

Other appointments include Chima Raymond Ukwa as Special Assistant on Sports, Prince Christian Enwerenmadu as Special Adviser on Agriculture, and Mrs. Chinenye Nwaka as Senior Special Assistant on Women Affairs.

Governor Otti said the move underscores his administration’s commitment to strengthening public institutions and ensuring efficient governance across the state.
