Former Super Eagles striker Victor Ikpeba has expressed confidence that Nigeria will revive their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying hopes with wins against Rwanda and South Africa.

Ikpeba said the players are now motivated by pride and determination to deliver for the nation despite recent setbacks.

Nigeria, currently fourth in the group with 7 points from 6 matches, will host Rwanda on September 6 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, before traveling to Bloemfontein to face South Africa on September 9.

South Africa leads the group with 13 points, while Rwanda and Benin are tied on 8 points each.

Ikpeba admitted the team has disappointed fans but insisted back-to-back victories can reignite their qualification campaign.
