The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced plans to establish a mobile court along the Gwagwalada–Abaji–Lokoja highway as part of efforts to curb reckless driving.

FCT Sector Commander, Felix Theman, disclosed this during a town hall meeting at Teachers’ House, Gwagwalada, with the theme “A Safer Road for All.”

The gathering brought together security agencies, transport unions, traditional rulers, politicians, and other stakeholders.

Theman lamented the rising cases of traffic violations along the Abuja–Lokoja corridor, noting that many drivers ignore road regulations, leading to frequent crashes.

He urged motorists to embrace responsible driving and take advantage of the meeting to share concerns and feedback.

Chairman of Gwagwalada Area Council, Alhaji Abubakar Jibrin Giri, represented by the Council Secretary, Alhaji Mohammed Saba, pledged full support for the initiative.

Gwagwalada Unit Commander of the FRSC, Ahmed Sani, also assured that issues raised at the forum would be addressed promptly.

Meanwhile, FCT NUT Chairman, Comrade Abdullahi Mohammed Shafa, who received an award at the event, commended the FRSC for recognizing teachers’ contributions to road safety.
