The 2025 National Leadership Conference will hold in Abuja from September 5-6, bringing together influential leaders from Africa, Europe, and the Middle East under the theme “Transforming Minds and Inspiring Results.”
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Kenyan scholar Prof. Patrick Lumumba, Minister of Women Affairs Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, global business strategist Dr. Corrie Block, and the EU Ambassador to Nigeria, Gautier Mignot, are among the headline speakers.
Addressing journalists in Abuja on Friday, Dr. Linus Okorie, Founder of the GOTNI Leadership Foundation and convener of the conference, said leadership deficits have long undermined productivity, institutional growth, and national development across Africa.
He stressed that Nigeria’s progress depends on leaders embracing collaboration, service, and impact.
“Many leaders today are discouraged and uncertain about solutions to economic and social challenges.
“We need a critical mass of people who understand that leadership is about service and transformation,” he said.
The two-day event, billed for the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, will attract participants from government, business, faith, and civil society.
According to Okorie, the conference is designed to equip leaders with practical tools to inspire change, enhance productivity, and drive societal progress.
He further noted that while many nations deliberately invest in leadership training across schools, businesses, and institutions, Nigeria lags behind.
The conference, he added, will serve as a platform for knowledge-sharing, networking, and promoting a culture of service above personal gain.
