The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC), and several upstream gas producers have signed long-term Gas Supply Agreements (GSAs), with Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG), for the delivery of 1.29 billion standard cubic feet of gas per day.
The 20-year agreements, with extension options, were signed at the NNPC Towers, Abuja.
Partners include Amni International, Sunlink Energies, First E&P, Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo), NNPC Gas Marketing, NNPC E&P, Shell Nigeria Gas Solutions, Oando Group, and Aradel Holdings.
NNPC said the deals would help bridge Nigeria’s gas supply gap, accelerate the nation’s energy transition, and strengthen economic prosperity and energy security.
Group CEO, Bayo Ojulari, described the milestone as “a significant step in value creation and sustainable gas supply,” urging stakeholders to leverage economies of scale, share risks, and harness opportunities in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Decade of Gas vision.
