The Nigeria Police Force (NPF), has dismissed reports claiming Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo was declared wanted, describing the viral notice circulating online as fake and unauthorized.

Earlier this week, a “wanted” poster bearing Ojo’s image, allegedly issued by the Inspector-General of Police Monitoring Unit and offering a reward, went viral on social media.

In a statement released on its verified platforms, the Force clarified that it never issued such a bulletin and urged the public to disregard the misinformation.

The police emphasized that all official communications are only disseminated through its verified channels.

The NPF further disclosed that investigations are underway to uncover the source of the fake publication, warning that those responsible will be prosecuted.

As of press time, Iyabo Ojo, popularly known as “Queen Mother,” has not released an official response to the development.
