The National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), has commenced training 126 new staff through its Leadership Development Academy to boost primary healthcare services nationwide.
The recruits began their training on Thursday and were urged to prioritize self-development by the agency’s Executive Director, Dr. Muyi Aina.
Dr. Aina emphasized that the programme is critical for equipping staff with the skills needed to enhance healthcare delivery.
He noted that the recruitment aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda on job creation.
The initiative is part of broader reforms within the NPHCDA aimed at improving Nigeria’s health sector.
Established in 2019, the Leadership Development Academy has been central to building the capacity of the agency’s workforce, with the new cohort joining to strengthen the national primary healthcare system.
