The Federal Government has unveiled the 2025-2030 Nigerian Youth in Agribusiness Call to Action, a manifesto aimed at placing young Nigerians at the forefront of agricultural transformation.
Launched in Abuja, the initiative is part of the government’s strategy to tackle food insecurity and youth unemployment.
Speaking at the event, Minister of Agriculture Abubakar Kyari described the manifesto as a comprehensive roadmap to empower young farmers and agribusiness entrepreneurs.
The plan seeks to provide essential resources, including access to finance, modern technology, and training programs, making agriculture more attractive and profitable for youth.
The initiative comes amid rising food inflation and rural-to-urban migration that has affected agricultural output.
Its success will rely on collaboration between the government, private sector partners, and development organizations to create a sustainable, resilient food supply chain.
