The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, concluded a three-day tour of the Nigerian Army’s 6 Division in Port Harcourt with a commitment to prioritize the welfare of soldiers.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, General Oluyede emphasized that troop welfare is essential for operational readiness.

“I’m very particular about the well-being of the soldiers. With the support of the Federal Government, I will do my very best to make life better for them,” he said.

During the visit, he commissioned new and renovated facilities, including the Headquarters 6 Division Extension, quarters for non-commissioned officers, and a refurbished guard room.

The tour was part of a broader effort to enhance morale and efficiency within the military.
