The Chairman/CEO of Eli-Ade Properties Nigeria Ltd, Mr. Elijah Adeogun, has dragged a Federal Radio presenter, Yemi Kazeem, before the Ogun State High Court over an alleged defamatory broadcast.
In the suit filed by his counsel, Barrister Taiwo Ogunleye, Adeogun accused Kazeem, host of the programme Eto Abo, of airing a broadcast that falsely portrayed him as a land grabber and a disturber of peace in Ilasa community, Ota, Ogun State.
The programme also allegedly claimed he was selling lands with burial tombs.
Adeogun is seeking N50 million in damages, a retraction, and a public apology to be published in The Punch and Nigerian Tribune, as well as broadcast on Eto Abo for two consecutive editions.
He also asked the court to grant a perpetual injunction restraining the defendants from making further defamatory remarks against him.
Additionally, the claimant is demanding N10 million compensation for alleged trespass on his property.
When contacted, Kazeem dismissed the case but declined to comment further as at press time.
